1997 Disney Dollars
In 1997, the design of Disney Dollars was updated to commemorate Walt Disney World's 25th
Anniversary. Each bill represented one of the three theme parks: Magic Kingdom (formerly Disney
World), E.P.C.O.T., and MGM Studios (renamed Hollywood Studios in 2008). Mickey Mouse and
Goofy remained on the $1 and $5 bills, respectively, while young Simba from The Lion King
replaced Minnie Mouse on the $10 bill. The theme "It's Time To Remember The Magic" was
prominently featured.
