1988 Disney Dollars

In 1988, Disney embarked on a delightful journey of transformation by updating the reverse side of its iconic $1 and $5 Disney Dollars. This change was all about highlighting the enchanting world of DisneyWorld, bringing more magic and theme- park joy to each bill. Additionally, Disney changed the font style of the serial number with a trailing “A” . These bills were released at both Disneyland and DisneyWorld Resort. First Day Issue - August 8, 1988
